Ingredients:
1 kg chicken (chopped to bite size pieces)
3 medium onions (chopped in to squares)
1" ginger (chopped)
7-8 big cloves garlic (chopped)
1 long green chilli (chopped)
2" cinnamon (break in to smaller pieces)
6 cloves
2-3 bay leaves
3 tbsp bafat powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp vinegar (adjust to taste)
1 tsp salt
3 tsp oil
Steps:

2" cinnamon (break in to smaller pieces)

2-3 bay leaves
3 tbsp bafat powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp vinegar (adjust to taste)
1 tsp salt
3 tsp oil
Steps:
- In a vessel, heat oil. Add onions and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add ginger, garlic, chilli, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves and saute for 1 minute. Don't brown the garlic.
- Add 1/2 cup hot water and stir.
- Add bafat powder, turmeric, salt, vinegar and mix well.
- Add 1 more cup of hot water. Add chicken and mix well. The water should preferably be just above the chicken level. Cook covered on medium-high heat.
- Adjust salt, vinegar and bafat powder if desired.
