Eson/Rouns (King Fish) Fish Curry - Rosy Aunty

Ingredients:
750 gms fish
1 small onion (sliced)
1-2 green chillies (slit)
1" ginger (shredded)
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil

For grinding:
7 red dry byadgi chillies
2 cloves garlic
1 medium onion
1 tbsp coriander  seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
8 pepper  corns
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 coconut (grated)
marble size piece tamarind

Steps:
  1. Heat oil and add the onion, green chillies and ginger and fry till light brown.
  2. Add the ground masala and fry for a few minutes.
  3. Add sufficient water for the curry, salt and bring it to a boil.
  4. Add the drained fish. When it begins to boil, reduce the flame and boil the curry till the fish is cooked and the oil floats on top.
