salt to taste
2 tbsp oil/ghee
Steps:
- In a pressure cooker, heat 2 tbsp oil or ghee.
- Add onions and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Then add ginger, garlic and chillies and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add half litre water with haldi, 1 tbsp of pepper, cinnamon, cloves and tomatoes. Cook for 10 -12 whistles (the onions and tomatoes should melt).
- Then add the meat, salt, 2 tbsp pepper powder and vinegar. Cook covered till the meat is soft.
- Open and check water level. Add beans/okra and cook for about 5 minutes and cover (don't mix it, leave it at the top to cook).
- Adjust pepper, salt and vinegar if needed.

- This recipe can also be used to make paya, minus the okra.
