Palak Paneer (cottage cheese in a spinach based curry) - Karen Pereira

Ingredients:


1 big bunch of spinach leaves
1 packet of paneer (cut in cubes)
2 green chillies (sliced)
1 onion (sliced)
1 tomato (chopped)
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp coriander powder
oil
salt to taste
3 tbsp cooking cream (optional)

Steps:
  1. Boil spinach/palak with green chillies and grind to a fine paste.

  2. Deep fry the paneer till golden brown and keep aside. 

  3. In a vessel, heat oil.
  4. Add onion and tomato. Fry.
  5. Add chilli powder, turmeric, jeera powder, coriander powder, salt.
  6. Add the spinach paste. Mix well.
  7. Add the deep fried paneer. Mix again.
  8. Add cooking cream.
  9. ENJOY!
Notes:
  • Cut paneer and soak in ice cold water to prevent from breaking/crumbling.
