Ginger Garlic Chicken Gravy - Gladys Aunty

Ingredients:
1 kg chicken
1 large onion
1 full pod garlic
4" ginger
2 tbsp bafat powder/ chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric 
oil
1" cinnamon stick
corn flour
1 cup tomato ketchup

For marination:
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp pepper powder
salt as per taste


Steps:
  1. Marinate chicken with salt, soy sauce and pepper for 1 hour minimum.
  2. Sprinkle cornflour on the marinated chicken and fry. Keep it aside. 
  3. Grind the ginger, garlic, chilli powder (bafat) and turmeric with a little water and make a paste. Keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil, add cinnamon stick. Add the sliced onion and fry.
  5. Add the ground paste and fry.
  6. Add a little water. 
  7. Once it starts boiling, add fried chicken. Turn the flame to high and let it boil.
  8. After 5 minutes, once it boils, lower the flame and add 1 cup tomato ketchup.
  9. Cover and cook on low heat.
