Bangda (mackerel) Red Curry with Coriander Leaves (no coconut) - Maizy Aunty

Ingredients
1 kg bangda/mackerel  (cleaned, washed and cut)
1 large onion (chopped)
1 tomato (chopped)
salt
oil
3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves 

To grind:
15 red byadgi chillies
2 large onions 
5 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp jeera
7-8 pepper corns
1 tsp or a marble size tamarind

Steps:
  1. Grind the chillies, onion, garlic, turmeric, coriander seeds, jeera, pepper corns and tamarind to a fine paste and keep aside.
  2. In a vessel, heat oil. Add the onion and fry well.
  3. Add the tomato and fry till it is soft.
  4. Add the ground masala and fry.
  5. Add the ground masala water (add water to the mixie jar) and bring to a boil.
  6. Add the bangda, salt and bring to a boil. 
  7. Sprinkle coriander leaves.
  8. Turn off the gas.
