Shawarma Flavoured Chicken Drumsticks - Lester

Ingredients:
12 chicken drumsticks
coriander leaves (garnish)
lemon (garnish)

For the marinade:
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder

Steps:
  1. Prep the chicken - skin the chicken legs and apply two cuts to each side.
  2. In a bowl or zip-loc bag, mix together all the ingredients for the marinade. 
  3. Add the chicken, mixing it up and making sure the chicken is well coated
  4. Keep the marinated chicken in the fridge for a couple of hours at least (overnight is better)
  5. Before grilling, take out the chicken and let it get to room temperature
  6. If cooking on a barbeque, get temperature up to 400 F. Cook the drumsticks on medium with the lid closed for 10 minutes on each side. 
  7. Garnish with lemon and/or coriander
  8. ENJOY!
