Ingredients:
1 kg taikulo / Cassia tora leaves (chopped very finely)
4-5 onions (chopped very finely)
4-5 green chillies (chopped very finely)
2 cloves garlic (chopped very finely)
250 gms moong dal
250 gms chana dal
250 urad dal
250 gms boiled rice (ukdo tandul) - see notes
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
Steps:
- Wash, clean and drain the taikulo leaves thoroughly.
- Fry moong dal, chana dal, udith dal, boiled rice separately and let it cool. Powder all separately and keep them in separate containers.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the taikulo.
- Then add the powdered dal and rice along with the onions, garlic, chillies, salt and mix well.
- Shape the mixture into patties. If needed, sprinkle a few drops of water to bind them all together.
- In a kadai, heat oil for deep frying.
- Add the patties and fry well on both sides.

Notes:
- If you don't have boiled rice, you can soak basmati rice in water, grind it coarsely and add it to the mixture when adding onions, garlic etc. Don't fry or powder it.
