Chicken Kheema - Jean

Ingredients:

500 gms chicken mince
2 medium onions (sliced)
1 tomato (chopped)
2 medium potatoes (chopped into small cubes)
3 green chillies (chopped)
1/2 cup corn
1/2 cup green peas
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp jeera
7 cloves
1" cinnamon
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
3 tsp bafat powder
1 1/2 tsp pepper powder
3 tsp kasuri methi leaves
1 stalk coriander leaves (chopped)
12-15 mint leaves (chopped)
salt to taste
vinegar to taste
2 tbsp ghee

Steps:

  1. Heat ghee.
  2. Add the cloves, cinnamon and cumin seeds.
  3. Add the onions, tomatoes and green chillies. Fry till onions turn golden brown.
  4. Add 1/4 tsp salt and ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw small goes away.
  5. Add half the spice powders and mix well.
  6. Add the mince and brown lightly.
  7. Add the potatoes and 1/4 cup water and combine.
  8. Add corn and green peas and the rest of the spice powders. Mix well. Continue cooking till potatoes are fully cooked.
  9. Add salt and vinegar.
  10. Add the kasuri methi, coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix well.
  11. Turn off the gas and keep covered.
