Ingredients:
200 gms paneer
1 onion (chopped)
3/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp salt (adjust if needed)
2-3 tbsp coriander leaves (garnish)
To grind for the sauce:
8 cloves garlic, peeled
4 red byadgi chillies
3 small round chillies (motwi mirsaang)
1 tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup water
Steps:
- Grind the garlic, red chillies well with vinegar, salt, sugar and water and keep it ready.
- In a non stick vessel, heat oil.
- Add cumin seeds. Once it crackles, add onions and fry till golden brown.
- Add the ground paste and let it thicken. (Add about 1/4 cup water to the mixie jar and save the masala water)
- Add the paneer with 1/2 tsp salt and mix well.
- Add the remaining masala water, mix and cook on high heat for 2 -3 minutes till the water dries up.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
