Recipe by Chrysl Castelino
Ingredients:
1 large onion (finely chopped)
10 cloves garlic
1" ginger
1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
1 tbsp mint leaves (chopped)
1/2 tsp salt
2 green chillies
1 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp haldi
2 tsp soya sauce
2 tsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp vinegar
2 medium potatoes (boiled)
2 tbsp bread crumbs
For the coating
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 large egg (beaten)
Steps:
- In a large pan, heat oil.
- Add the onion, green chillies, ginger and garlic and fry till the raw smell is gone.
- Add the mince and cook on high flame.
- Now add the pepper, haldi, garam masala, soya sauce, vinegar, ketchup and salt.
- Cook till the mince is cooked and all the water has dried up.
- Finally add the chopped mint and coriander leaves.
- Once the mixture has cooled, combine it with the mashed potatoes and bread crumbs,
- Shape the mixture into croquettes or cutlets.
- Coat the croquettes with maida, followed by egg and finally with bread crumbs.
- Deep fry in oil till golden brown.
