Ingredients:
1 kg chicken (washed, cut into medium size pieces and cleaned)
2 tomatoes (cut round)
2 potatoes (cut round)
3 onions (cut round)
2 carrots (cut round)
2 capsicums (cut round)
1 lemon (cut round)
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp jeera powder
1 1/2 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 packet or 100 gms tomato paste
salt to taste
oil
Steps:
- In a large deep non stick vessel, heat oil.
- Reduce to low flame and add the chicken pieces at the bottom.
- Add half the quantity of spices, salt and tomato paste on top of the chicken.
- Add the cut vegetables in layers.
- Add 1/4 cup water and the rest of the spices, salt and tomato paste.
- Cook covered on low-medium heat for half an hour. Mix well.
