Kubey Theil Piyao (clams in oil and onion preparation) - Daisy aunty

Ingredients:
50 kubey (clams)
2 onions (finely sliced)
1" ginger (finely chopped)
2 green chillies (finely chopped)
6 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp pepper powder
3 tbsp oil
lime size tamarind (soaked in water)
1/2 tsp salt 

Steps:
  1. Wash the kubey very well, about 3-4 times till you find no more sand.
  2. In a cooking vessel, heat oil.
  3. Add the onions, ginger, chillies and garlic and saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add the kubey, tamarind water and 1 - 1 1/2 cups water and bring to a boil.
  5. Add pepper powder and mix well.
  6. Cook for about 10 minutes (till all the kubeys open up)
  7. Turn off the flame and cover.
  8. ENJOY!
