Ingredients
1 kg yerliyo/silver fish
1 large onion (sliced)
salt
oil
To grind:
3-4 short red chillies (motwi mirsaang)
10 red byadgi chillies
2 large onion
4 cloves garlic
1/4 cup coconut (grated)
1/2 tsp turmeric
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp jeera
6-7 pepper corns
3 amla size tamarind
Steps:
- Grind the chillies, onion, garlic, coconut, turmeric, coriander seeds, jeera, pepper corns and tamarind to a fine paste and keep aside.
- In a vessel, heat oil. Add the sliced onion and fry well.
- Add the ground masala and fry.
- Add the ground masala water and bring to a boil.
- Add the yerliyo, salt and bring to a boil (yerliyo cooks quickly).
- Turn off the gas.
