Homemade Kasaya - Ivan uncle

Recipe by Ivan Pereira

Ingredients:

3 lemongrass leaves (finely chopped)
3 stems Sri Lankan coriander leaves (finely chopped)
1/2 cup black tulsi (finely chopped)
1/2 cup sambarpalli/Indian borage leaves (finely chopped)
1/2 cup mint leaves (finely chopped)
1" ginger (finely chopped)
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tbsp pepper powder
1 large onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp rock sugar
1 litre water

Steps:
  1. Add all the ingredients to a vessel with 1 litre water.
  2. Boil covered on low flame for 30 minutes till the onions have become very soft.
  3. Let it cool. 
  4. Strain, and add to an airtight bottle and keep refrigerated.
  5. Serve warm in the morning. 
  6. ENJOY!
