Ingredients:
200 grams paneer (cubes)
1 tbsp ghee
1 large onion (finely sliced)
1" ginger (finely chopped)
8 small cloves garlic (finely chopped)
2 green chillies (finely chopped)
6 small tomatoes (made into a puree)
1 1/2 tbsp fresh cream
2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 1/2 tbsp honey
salt to taste
1 tbsp kasuri methi/dried fenugreek leaves
Steps:
- Wash the tomatoes and add them into a mixie jar to make a puree without adding any water. Keep aside.
- Heat ghee in a nonstick vessel.
- Add the onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies and saute it until the onions turn lightly golden.
- Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt, honey and cream. Mix well.
- Add the paneer and mix lightly so the paneer is coated well.
- Cover the lid and cook on simmer for about 5-6 minutes and turn off the flame. Before serving, stir in the kasuri methi.
