Ingredients:
500 gms all purpose flour/maida
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup milk at room temperature (approximately 300 ml or as required)
1/4 cup warm water
3-4 tbsp olive oil or regular cooking oil
Steps:
- In a small bowl, dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water and set aside.
- In a larger bowl, mix the maida and salt well.
- Now add in the oil and yeast mixture and start to knead the dough.
- Add milk a little at a time and continue to knead till the dough comes together. This should take about 5 minutes.
- Continue to knead till you get a smooth texture and the dough no longer sticks to your hand.
- Shape the dough in to a ball and rub some oil over it and place it back in the bowl.
- Cover with a wet tea towel and place in a warm place to rise.
- The dough will take a few hours to rise, depending on how warm or cold the weather is. You'll know it's ready when it has doubled in size.
- ENJOY!
