Vegan & Gluten-free Whole Green Moong Chila Dosa (no fermentation) - Lovy

Yield: 6-8 dosas

Ingredients:
1 cup whole green moong dal
1" ginger
2 green chilies (optional)
1 medium onion (chopped)
3 tbsp chopped coriander
1/2 - 1 tsp salt 
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp chilli powder (or more)
1/2 tsp jeera/cumin powder
oil for browning the dosas
water as needed for grinding 

Steps:
  1. Wash and soak the green moong dal overnight.
  2. Grind the moong dal with ginger, green chilies, salt, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin powder and just enough water to make a smooth but thick batter (needs to be a spreadable consistency)
  3. Add onions and coriander leaves. Mix well. 

  4. Heat a pan/tava and spread like a pancake.
  5. Add a few drops of oil and let the dosa brown on both sides.
  6. Serve with any chutney or plain.
