Dal Panchvati (5 dal curry) - Karen

Ingredients:
1/4 cup masoor dal
1/4 cup toor dal
1/4 cup moong dal
1/4 cup channa dal
1/4 cup urad Dal
1 tsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
1" ginger (chopped)
1/2 tsp garlic paste
1 onion (chopped)
1 tomato (finely chopped)
1/2 - 1 tsp chili powder 
vinegar
salt

Steps:
  1. Boil all the dal together.

  2. Mix chili powder with vinegar and keep the chili paste aside.

  3. In a vessel, heat ghee.
  4. Add cumin seeds.
  5. When it crackles, add ginger, garlic paste, onion, chili paste and saute for 5 minutes.
  6. Add a tomato and fry well.
  7. Mix in dal, salt, water as required and bring to a boil.
  8. ENJOY!
