Spicy Chicken Legs - Lolita

Ingredients:
6-8 cloves garlic (crushed)
1 onion (sliced)
1 tsp chili sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp hoisin sauce (optional)
1/4 cup chicken stock
1/4 tsp crushed pepper
3-4 tbsp spring onions (chopped)
oil for deep frying

For the marinade:

1 kg chicken legs
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1 tbsp chili powder

For the coating:

1 cup all purpose flour/maida
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp crushed pepper
1 egg

Steps:

  1. Marinate the chicken overnight with salt, pepper powder and chili powder.

  2. Keep 1 cup of flour aside. 

  3. In a bowl, beat an egg. Then add a pinch of salt and crushed pepper and mix well. 

  4. Before frying the chicken, dip the chicken in the flour, then the egg mixture and in the flour again.
  5. Add the chicken to the pan and deep fry. Drain excess oil and keep aside.

  6. In a saucepan, add crushed garlic and fry well. 
  7. Add the sliced onion and fry till pinkish golden.
  8. Add chili sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce (optional), chicken stock and crushed pepper. Bring it to boil.
  9. Add chopped spring onions and mix well.
  10. Add the fried chicken legs and mix well for 3 - 4 minutes.
  11. Garnish with some spring onions.
