Ingredients:
To pressure cook:
1 cup yellow moong dal (soaked in water)2 cups water
salt to taste
4 cloves garlic
1 medium onion (sliced)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp ghee
For seasoning:
1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp jeera seeds
2-3 dry red chilis
1" cinnamon stick (optional)
Steps:
- Pressure cook the dal with all the ingredients for 3 whistles.
- In the mean time, heat ghee in a tadka pan.
- Add the jeera, chili and cinnamon stick and fry till the jeera crackles.
- Mix together with the pressure cooked dal.
