Ingredients:
1 baguette
butter
garlic cloves as required
40 gms cheddar (If its Indian cheddar, it tends to be under seasoned. I found adding some salt tends to bring out the flavour better)
40 gms mozarella
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp basil
1 tbsp oregano
Steps:
- Cut the baguette diagonally.
- Melt the butter for 30 seconds and spread it over the cut baguette.
- Mix the garlic powder, basil and oregano and spread the mixture over each of the cut baguettes.
- Mix the cheddar and mozzarella and add a bit of salt if required. Add the mixture on top of each.
- Preheat the oven to 200C for 20 minutes.
- Put the bread into the oven with the top grill on for 10 minutes or till the edges are crisp and the cheese browned to the desired level.
