Tomato Saar - Veera aunty

Ingredients:

To grind to a paste
4 medium tomatoes (boiled)
1 clove garlic (peeled)

To make the saar
5 cloves garlic (crushed with skin)
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
1 dry red chilli
1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 small onion (sliced)
1 tomato (chopped)
3 green chilis (slit)
1 chicken cube (optional)
1/2" ginger
handful coriander leaves
coconut oil
salt

Steps:

  1. Boil the tomatoes. Peel the skin and grind to a paste with 1 clove garlic.

  2. In a vessel, heat coconut oil.
  3. Add the mustard seeds, crushed garlic, ginger, curry leaves, red chilies, kashmiri powder and lightly fry.
  4. Add the sliced onion, green chilies and fry. 
  5. Add the tomato puree and fry for sometime. 
  6. Add the chopped tomato, salt, chicken cube and water and boil. 
  7. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
