750 gms okra (washed and dried)
1 big onion (sliced)
1" ginger (finely chopped)

4 big cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1 1/2 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp jeera/cumin powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
3/4 tsp turmeric
salt to taste

1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup yogurt (mixed with 1 cup water)

1/4 cup half & half (or 1 1/2 tbsp cooking cream)
3 tbsp ghee

- In a cooking vessel, heat ghee.
- Add the okra and fry for 8-10 minutes, stirring continuously till the color of the okra changes. Sprinkle salt and transfer to a plate.
- In the same vessel, add the onion and saute till golden brown.
- Add the ginger and garlic and mix well.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5 minutes without adding water.
- Reduce heat to medium, add chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric and cumin powder. Mix well and fry for 1 minute.
- Add the yogurt-water mixture and salt. Cook covered for 20-25 minutes. Adjust water according to desired consistency.
- When almost done, mix in the cream.
- Add the okra and mix together carefully.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and drizzle lemon juice.
