Homemade Peanut Butter Spread - Jean

Ingredients:
250gms peanuts
1/4 tsp salt

Steps:

  1. Roast the peanuts on a pan. Allow to cool. 
  2. Place the peanuts in a cloth and rub the cloth to remove the skin. 
  3. In a mixie jar/food processor, add the peanuts and salt. (You may need to do it in batches. )
  4. Grind till the texture changes from grainy to creamy butter. You will need to keep scraping down the peanuts from the side of the jar during the process. 
  5. If you like a crunchy texture, add a few peanuts at the end and pulse a couple of times.
  6. Transfer to a glass container and top with roasted peanuts and store in the fridge. 
  7. ENJOY!

Notes:

  • If you like it sweet, add 2-3 tbsp honey when grinding.
  • This takes a bit of time unless you have a very powerful food processor/grinder.
