Ingredients:
500 gms mutton mince
1 big onion (chopped)
1 big tomato (chopped)
1 big potato (cubed)
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2" ginger (minced)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp bafat powder
1/2 - 1 cup frozen vegetables (corn, peas, carrots & beans)
salt
4 tbsp oil
To garnish:
1 1/2" ginger (minced)
1 green chili (chopped)
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp dried coriander (or fresh coriander leaves)
1 tsp dried mint leaves
Steps:
- In a vessel, heat oil.
- Add the onions and saute for 1 minute.
- Add the garlic, tomatoes and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the potatoes, and all the masala powders. Mix well.
- Add 2 cups water, 1/2" minced ginger and cook on high heat, stirring occasionally.
- When the kheema is cooked and the water reduces to your desired consistency, add the garam masala powder, ginger, green chili, coriander and mint leaves.
