Mutton Kheema with Mixed Veggies - Jean

Ingredients:

500 gms mutton mince
1 big onion (chopped)
1 big tomato (chopped)
1 big potato (cubed)
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2" ginger (minced)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp bafat powder
1/2 - 1 cup frozen vegetables (corn, peas, carrots & beans)
salt

4 tbsp oil

To garnish:
1 1/2" ginger (minced)
1 green chili (chopped)
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp dried coriander (or fresh coriander leaves)
1 tsp dried mint leaves

Steps:

  1. In a vessel, heat oil.
  2. Add the onions and saute for 1 minute. 
  3. Add the garlic, tomatoes and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the potatoes, and all the masala powders. Mix well. 
  5. Add 2 cups water, 1/2" minced ginger and cook on high heat, stirring occasionally. 
  6. When the kheema is cooked and the water reduces to your desired consistency, add the garam masala powder, ginger, green chili, coriander and mint leaves.
