Pepper Ivy Gourd with Cashew Nuts (tendli miryapito dry) - Maizy aunty

Ingredients:
750 gms ivy gourd/tendli
1 medium onion (sliced)
1/2 inch ginger (finely chopped)
1 green chilli (slit)
1/2 cup cashew nuts
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp pepper powder (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar
salt to taste
2 tbsp ghee

Steps:
  1. Wash & drain the ivygourd. Chop the ends off and mash the gerkins in a mortar and pestle.
  2. Soak cashews in water and keep aside.
  3. To a pressure cooker, add all the ingredients with 1/4 cup water. Pressure cook on high flame for one whistle. Turn off heat after the first whistle.
  4. Once it cools, open the lid and mix well.
  5. ENJOY!
