Steps:
Ingredients:
1/2 kg mutton/beef mince
1 large onion (chopped)
3 large tomatoes (chopped small)
1" ginger (chopped)
5 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 tsp kashmiri chili powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1/4 cup yogurt (whisked) *optional
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 cup water
salt
green chillies (optional)
To garnish:
2 tbsp coriander leaves
1/2" ginger (julienne)
1 tsp garam masala powder
Steps:
- In a wok, heat ghee.
- Add the onions, garlic and ginger and saute till brown.
- Add the minced meat and brown for 5 minutes.
- Add the spices, mix well.
- Add 1/2 cup hot water. Bring to a boil, then for 25 minutes till the water is almost evaporated. Keep mixing in between.
- Add in the tomatoes, continue to cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat until the water begins to dry out and the oil starts to separate.
- Finally, turn down the flame and add the whisked yogurt and simmer uncovered for 5-10 minutes depending on your desired consistency. Turn off the heat.
- Garnish with ginger and chopped coriander leaves.
