Ingredients:
30 medium size prawns
1/4 kg okra/benda
For grinding masala:
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 - 1/2 tsp pepper corns
7 to 8 byadgi chillies
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
3 big cloves garlic
1 medium size onion
6 tbsp coconut milk powder
small ball of tamarind
2 to 3 tbsp oil
1 tsp sugar (optional)
Steps:
- Clean, de-vein the prawns and rinse thoroughly. Drain, add salt, mix well, rinse again and drain the water.
- Rinse the okra, drain and wipe dry. Chop both the ends, cut into pieces.
- Heat oil in a vessel, saute the okra for a few minutes.
- Add the ground masala, required amount of water, salt and mix well.
- Cook till done and add prawns, cook for another 4 to 5 minutes.
- Check for salt and add sugar (optional), mix well and switch off the flame.
