Ingredients:
1 kg chicken
2 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 large onion (or 2 medium)
1 large tomato
2 medium potatoes
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp pepper powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp cumin powder
1 tsp kashmiri chili powder
2 tbsp curry powder
4-5 tbsp coconut milk powder
1 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp vinegar
Handful of chopped coriander leaves
Steps
- In a vessel, heat ghee
- Add cumin seeds, when it splutters, add sliced onions and ginger garlic paste. Fry on medium till onions are light brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and potatoes and cook covered for 5 minutes.
- Add the spice powders and coconut milk powder. Mix well.
- Add the chicken, salt and vinegar. Cook covered without adding water for 10 minutes.
- Add 1/2 -1 cup hot water and cook covered till chicken is fully cooked.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
