Ingredients:
500gms strawberries
150gms sugar
1/2 lemon (juiced)
Steps:
- Wash and dry the strawberries. Remove the stem, then roughly chop.
- Add the strawberries, sugar and lemon juice to a saucepan. Cook on medium heat till the sugar dissolves while stirring for about 5-7 minutes.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and keep stirring till it comes to a rolling boil.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and mash the strawberries using a spoon, or use a hand blender to puree it. Continue boiling till it thickens for another 7-10 minutes.
- Transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate.
