Beef Curry (no grinding) - Oreen

Ingredients:
1 kg beef (cut in cubes)
2-3 tbsp coconut milk powder
1-2 cups of water (adjust according to desired consistency)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp pepper powder 

For the Masala base
1 big onion (sliced)
1 big tomato (sliced)
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp salt 
1 tsp turmeric powder 
Handful of curry leaves 
2 tsp fennel seeds
1/2 to 1 tbsp tamarind paste
1 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp coconut oil

Steps:
  1. In a pressure cooker, heat ghee. 
  2. Add all the ingredients for the masala base and fry well until it turns brown and mushy. 
  3. Add coconut milk powder, beef chunks, pepper powder and salt. Mix well. Then add 1-2 cups of water based on your desired consistency. Pressure cook on high heat for 15 minutes till the meat is soft.
  4. ENJOY!
Notes:
  • You can add potato cubes while pressure cooking.
